Analysis of the workplace and work-related stress

The safety of the workplace is considered of primary importance, both for the fulfillment of legal obligations, but also and particularly in ensuring that workers have a safe environment in a view to achieving maximum wellbeing at work which translates in a risk reduction, work stress and a significant increase in productivity.

Analysis of risks at work

In the evaluation of the workplace are considered:

  • risk factors in the workplace, chemical, physical, mechanical, biological, ergonomic and organizational ones; especially the organizational context has an important impact on the psychological dimension of worker, leading to its feeling of wellbeing at work ot, on the contrary, the establishment of a state of stress at work. The absenteeism, the unemployment and the requests for disability due to mental health problems resulting from the work-related stress are strongly increasing: actually about the 10% of chronic health problems are attributed to mental disorders.

  • interactions man-machine, analyzed according to the rules of the ergonomics and economy of gesture; for example the correct position of the display screen, overhead lighting, the mode of displacement of the loads according to the specific OSHA norms, etc.

  • interactions man-environment, evaluating the quality and the environmental characteristics and its interaction with workers; through a careful environmental analysis it will be possible to individuate the presence of risk factors, by measuring the levels and by comparing them with the exposure limit values laid down by law ( for example, according to the specific ACGIH norms, TLV-TWA, TLV STEL, TLV CEILING values).
