You can skim the term "architectural barriers" in 3 definitions:

1. all those physical obstacles, sources of discomfort for mobility with particular reference to those who, for any reason and / or cause, have reduced mobility or impeditea on a temporary or permanent basis;

3. all obstacles that prevent and / or limit anyone the comfort of residents and the safety of use of parts, components and equipment.
